The clovis people ate mammoths and ground sloths.
The clovis people lived in caves with little camps in the caves.
Some interesting facts about the clovis people is that the clovis people died because the ice age broke and all the grass and plants died and so the mammoths became extinct because they had nothing to eat and they died so the clovis people had nothing to eat and they died also. And the last interesting fact about the clovis people is that they lived during 9000 B.C.The clovis people are the oldest people in Colorado History.

Erik took the information that we learned about prehistoric people of Colorado and typed up this report and posted it on think.com, his student email account. Great job Erik!
Great job Erik!
Many years ago I studied the Clovis people of Colorado by doing archaeology (digging in the ground). The Clovis people lived very different than we live today. They traveled a lot. In fact, some evidence suggests they would move from Texas to Canada by walking. Wow, that is far. They also ate a lot of plants and small animals like rabbits and turtles. Mammoths, which are a cousin of the elephant, are very big and difficult to hunt. Could you imagine hunting an elephant with only a spear?
Very good report!
Hi Erik - thanks for the refresher course on the Clovis people. I had forgotten a lot of that. Great report!

Keep up the good work.
