We've been talking and thinking a lot about "why". Why are we learning fractions in math? Why are we learning about comparing and contrasting in reading? Why do we need to learn the writing process? Why are we learning about India, China, Australia, Spain and the US? I am usually the one telling why...
My question today is this: Why do we have reading buddies? What is the purpose of inviting the first graders to our room to read them our writing or to help them with their writing, or to introduce them to our blog or Twitter?
Tell me what you think.

I like your writing especialy about us teaching them how to type there writings and going on twitter. No ephense but there is too much whys.
so they know it when they get bigger.
Mr.lewis i like what you wrote about because your talking about us helping
the reading buddies with there writing.
I think we have reading buddies because we help them accomplish things with them and we teach them more so they could learn more things about technology. Also we help them with technology too.
wat the perpes to have our reaidng budys.
I think we do reading buddies because they need to learn how to read fast like 4th and 5th graders. We show them our blogs and stuff because maybe when they get in fourth grade they can have a blog or twitter acout or a wiki acout.
Mr.lewis i think we learn about different countries because we learn about other stuff.
