Room 24. I like to believe that I would do the right thing and help a slave in need, but I think you are right to point out that it was more complicated at that time. I listened to a wonderful radio show today about slaves and "slave narratives" (diaries written by slaves about their lives as slaves) on Fresh Air. The show was wonderful. They interviewed the granddaughter and great granddaughter of one of the slaves. They were never told their relative had been a slave. Why do you think that was kept a secret?
I could help a slave to get free .But I don't want to get cott at all.Th other thing I will do I would be snicky.

I would help slaves because all the people do Is beat the kids and parents. And if the kids didint do it then they would get beaten and hit with alot of metal things.The kids would have to do alot of chores and everything.If i helped the slaves i would not turn them even if i went to jail.

Yes,I would have helped runaway slaves because the slaves want to be free too.Even though you would go to jail.I would still help a slave because I know that if I was a slave I would want to be free too.Also,all I would want was to be free.I'm also sure that all the slaves want is to be free.

Yes, i would help a runaway slave because all they want to do is be free but if there was a reward for50.00.00 dollars i would still help the slave because if i was slave i know they help me runaway. So i wont be a slave anymore because they will know the felling that i would fell becausei would be a slave.
